Dr. O'Brien has been in practice since 1977 and joined Hartford Medical Group in 2009. He graduated from the University of Vermont College of Medicine where he received his Doctor of Medicine in 1971. He completed his residency in Family Medicine at the Pennsylvania State University, M.S. Hershey Medical Center in 1977. He received his board certification in Family Medicine in 1977. He is a member of the CT Academy of Family Physicians and the American Academy of Family Physicians.
Dr. O'Brien is also an Associate Clinical Professor at the University of CT School of Medicine, Department of Family Medicine.
