He graduated from Wayne State University School of Medicine in Detroit, MI where he received his Doctor of Medicine in 1985. He also graduated cum laude from Harvard University in Cambridge, MA in 1981 with a BA in Biology. He completed his residency in Internal Medicine at Waterbury Hospital Health Center in Waterbury, CT in 1988, and received his board certification in Internal Medicine in 1988.
