Basilio Guanco, M.D.

Dr. Guanco has been in practice since 1972 and joined Hartford Medical Group in 1988.  He graduated from the University of Santo Tomas in Manila, Philippines where he received his Doctor of Medicine in 1963.  He completed his internship at St. Clare's Hospital in Schenectady, NY in 1966 and his residency at St. Raphael Hospital in New Haven, CT in 1968.  Dr. Guanco also completed a fellowship in Cardiology in 1970 and a teaching fellowship in Medicine in 1971 at Hartford Hospital in Hartford, CT.     

Dr. Guanco has been an Assistant Professor at the University of Connecticut School of Medicine in Farmington, CT since 1994 and has held various positions at Hartford Hospital.  He received his board certification in Internal Medicine in 1972 and was certified by the American Association of Medical Review Officers in 1994.
