Spencer Erman, M.D.

Dr. Erman has been in the practice of Family Medicine since 1989, and joined the Hartford Medical Group in 2001, when we opened the Avon practice. He was graduated from the University of Arizona with a Bachelor's Degree in 1978, and a Doctor of Medicine Degree in 1986. He completed his internship and residency in Family Medicine at Middlesex Memorial Hospital in Middletown, CT. Dr. Erman was awarded the Degree of Fellow of the American Academy of Family Physicians in 1998. He became Board Certified in Family Medicine in 1989 and was recertified in 2010. Dr. Spencer Erman is on the faculty of both The University of Connecticut College of Medicine and Yale University and is actively involved in the teaching of medical students, residents, and nursing graduate students. He has special interests in sports medicine, office surgery, and cardiac disease risk management. He practices the full spectrum of outpatient Family Medicine, caring for male and female patients, from newborn to adult. Please note: Dr. Erman will be moving to our new Avon location on route 44 effective 10/26/11.
